When she joined Bluespark Labs as a Project Manager, Shannon brought more than 10 years of varied IT experience in roles that included user experience design, information architecture, and project management. As a Project Manager with the French Federation of National Tourism Offices and for insurance brokerage firm Marsh, Shannon gained invaluable experience managing large, international projects with budgets in excess of €1.5M (or $2.1M).

Shannon’s desire to keep learning is one of the things she says she likes best about her job today. “My favorite part of working with Bluespark clients is that they’re all very different,” she says. “That’s a challenge, but I love it. Whether I’m managing the development of an e-commerce site or an educational system site, a community site or a conference sites, it’s when a client says, ‘Yes! That’s exactly what we wanted!’ that my job is most rewarding.”

What do her clients appreciate most about her? Her accessibility. They know that they can call her anytime, about any aspect of the project, and she will find the answer, fix the problem, work around the setback.

Shannon’s project management style is one that keeps a tight rein on deadlines and deftly oversees resources, budgets, and deliverables. She says, “I excel at anticipating and auditing a project’s needs. I’m very analytical.” But Shannon’s no stuffed shirt. Since moving to Paris, France in 2005, this Wisconsin girl enjoys living in the city she calls “simply intoxicating.” Her guilty pleasures? Crème brûlée and champagne.
